Starting in October 2016, the two-year, rehabilitation of the Francis Scott Key Bridge will ensure the structural integrity of the iconic structure that connects historic Georgetown and modern Rosslyn. Built in 1923, the graceful arched structure is the District’s oldest bridge over the Potomac River and its six lanes carry over 60,000 vehicles each day.
